Power BI is a great tool for visualizing and summarizing large datasets. It's mapping capabilities are limited, as it's not designed to be a robust GIS platform. But, I've learned a few tricks for making visually appealing maps in Power BI, and in this talk I'll share what I've learned, including data formats that transfer easily from GIS into Power BI, which map visuals work better in what circumstances, and some easy ways to do basic spatial filtering.
